Can you say that in general? In my Space Star the clock syncs on the RDS signal of the radio. It has lost it's time a few times (maybe the same problem as the OP's) but after a few minutes it is synced again. And AFAIK apart from complete loss it is never off sync.
Further I read (in this forum?) that some trim has a GPS module for no other reason than syncing the clock. But in your car it has no external sync, I understand?
