Are you just going to pay the $100 then to get them working? I know some of the kits come with their own switch, which might not look the best but I might just do that if it will cost that much just to get the switch activated. I saw your latest pics and they look great. Also, did you tint your windows? I was looking into doing that as well, but I'm confused as to what's legal here and what's not, and also I've never done it myself before.

I think we are going to get it activated, just not as soon as we originally thought . We did get the windows tinted; I've attempted them myself before and I recommend having them professionally done. Too much margin for error. The legal limit in NY is 35% for the sides (driver/passenger) and whatever you want on the back. Percentage being the amount of light let in. we did 35% on the front sides, 20% on the rear sides and rear, and limo (5%) for a visor on the front windshield. This was $200 plus tax for everything. ~A

Oh, and the dealer will have to activate the function with a software change, $20-$25 or so.
Just came from dealer: they want $100 for it, what a rip off!

How much would they charge for the installation using factory parts?

We already have all the parts in, just need to ETACS tweak.

Right - I saw that. What I'm wondering is the difference in price.

For example, to purchase the installation from the dealer using all Mitsubishi parts might cost $350. If someone buys the parts themselves and installs them but needs a dealer to activate the controls, the total might come somewhat close to what the dealer might charge for the entire installation. Just wondering out loud.

It'll be interesting to see how you get yours working.
