Has anyone installed OEM rear spoiler?

    As the title states.

Just about to buy the rear spoiler, Mitsubishi always quote way too much for installation.

I haven't installed one, but I did have to putter around with mine to fix a nagging rattle. There are essentially two bolts under the small black plastic cover in the middle of the rear hatch on the inside. There are two more bolts near the outside edges of the hatch, also on the inside. These are not covered. I believe that trim tape is also used for sealing purposes.

Not sure if holes will need to be drilled, but it is likely.

Spoilers are standard here in the States (and in Canada I believe), so most folks here haven't had much reason to mess with one.

Question! What was your fix for the spoiler rattle? I have a annoying rattle coming from my Spoiler on my '14 DE and it sounds like a rattly sandwich cart everytime I go over a slight bump or road imperfection. I've tried tightening the bolts already, but it only fixes it temporarily.

I'd still let them install it Jackson, then its covered under warranty... I feel the same way about the side skirts and side moulding protection which I'm having installed on its first service.... I can do it myself no dramas, but I still feel better letting them handle it... And yes the added labour costs suck....

Only has a 3 month warranty/certain km warranty. Just the hassle of doing it yourself, and taking the risk of stuffing up.

Ugh, these weren't the responses I was hoping for lol.

Put it this way, they quoted me 2 hours work to install my rear extensions which took me 20 mins...

They quoted me an hour and a half work for the spoiler, which is about $200AUD, fairly steep if you ask me.

So odd the spoiler isn't just included on the car. In America it is.

What did you end up doing with this Jackson? DIY? Can we get a write up?
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100
