Ambient temperature sensor/display (activating temp display in MID via ETACS)

    Hey all,

Wanted to install an ambient temp sensor/display in my mirage, it's a feature that I really really miss and one I think would be pretty cool.

Now I've looked at ones that I can buy but I don't like any of them, they either are just too over the top with a clock and weather forecast and blah blah blah and some that have are in like round gauges and just nothing that I want. Now back in my 91 Mercedes the sensor and display would work out pretty good I think, but I just don't know how I would wire it. The unit is flat and I feel like I could just Velcro it to the bottom of the airbag sensor warning light by the dome light. What do you all think. The only thing would be powering it and I don't know where I would hook it up too. Any ideas? Thoughts?

Depending on how much current it draws, I wonder if the dome light power would work?

LCD displays require very little power to operate.

Did you ever get this installed? I have one similar to this and I think it turned out pretty good.

Why do you install this device? Activate the ambient temp on the etacs, and the ambient temp will be on the MID.

Does any have a photo of the MID with the temperature displayed? Thanks.
