The alignment numbers in your first pic are suspiciously consistent.

The UN-centered wheel started after the alignment, correct?
Cause from what I see your front alignment looks good before the alignment shop and looks good after the alignment shop. Which means the the actual alignment more then likely caused the issue. They adjusted the alignment with the wheel not in the centered position.
Be nice to see the "before sheet" from the shop that actually did the alignment. I'm willing to bet it will show some revealing numbers.
Were the original tires worn out...or were they showing odd wear patterns (or both)? I'm just asking because that seems like low tread life...even for Enasaves. If you had an alignment issue, your old tires would have been a good place to start looking even before they put it on the alignment rack.

Part of the alignment (any alignment) you paid for is centering the steering wheel! Period! Your wheel was off center before you aligned it and was still off center after.
This tells me the shop either ripped you off intentionally or out of ignorance. The fact that they told you it was a steering column issue points strongly toward ignorance.
Will weld for beer.

Take it back to a MITSUBISHI dealer, they always have special and $69 for wheel alignment. I have the same problem and they able to center the steering wheel first and realign
Eggman (11-22-2016)
I can't remember exactly when I started to notice the unentered wheel, but I know it was there even before the new tires were put on. However, I know that it was centered when I purchased the car at 3000 miles otherwise I would have said something to the dealer at that time
I called the alignment shop backup and they said that I will probably have to do another alignment in about five to seven thousand miles as the car is too new and the suspension has not even broken in or settled in yet but once it does it could throw the alignment off again.
I don't remember any uneven pattern tread wear on the old tires but I do know that they were pretty shot and even the steel was coming out. I rotated the tires every 5000 miles religiously.
