If I had to guess.. Hail damage. They still have the factory stickers on them. Brand new cars if they get hail damage on the lot are considered a total loss. However.. Could also be flood damage. 50/50

It says no visible damage, no known accidents, no bodywork, excellent interior, and a warranty available? Strange. Maybe a flood, may not run? A salvage title makes it difficult to maybe impossible to license in some states.
"Warranty available" Does that mean no standard Mitsu warranty?
Will weld for beer.

Were these courtesy cars or loaners? Or buybacks (forced or voluntary)? Maybe they were sold and the buyer's financing fell through so the dealership can no longer sell them as new since they technically had a titled owner?
So many questions. It's like a soap opera lol.

If you google that VIN number (ML32A4HJ5HH007729) it seems to show that it was originally sold at Hoover Mitsubishi in Charleston, SC. But now it's at some salvage place in New York City?!?
Watch the video at the link below to see where their cars come from...kind of interesting...

They have it listed as an ES, but it's actually an SE. Mid grade instead of base model. I noticed the SE rims right off, then saw the SE on the hatch.
Got a penny that says hurricane Matthews car
