The fastest I drove was 80mph, but that was just to pass. I spent most of the time between 70 & 75mph. The worst mileage I likely got was the last leg, from Indianapolis to Bloomington, IL, then up to Madison, WI. The headwinds were 15mph, gusting to 25, with temperatures in the 10s F. Keeping speed at 75mph (I was excited to get home), the MID read 32mpg. I filled up near Rockford, IL, but the pump didn't print a receipt, and the wind chill was -6 degrees F, so I left without getting the details of that fillup.
I didn't change the oil. My car has 5200 miles on the odometer.

Bumping this thread because Marerro just posted a comment on another site on this subject. Not sure if he's still reading the forum much, but he said:
Source: http://www.greencarreports.com/news/...ent-1297481919I use it as a highway car for long road trips and city driving. I got 54.7mpg on a trip for Las Vegas to Monterey, and it was more than comfortable enough from Monterey to Seattle.
Monterey to Seattle is ~900 miles / 1450 km.

In the article above, you mention "(d) further aero tweaks" that other countries get. Where can I find these?

Aerodynamics of the new Mirage (0.27-0.31 drag coefficient varies with options)
It's not totally clear, but some Euro & Japan cars have the 0.27 drag coefficient. I'm assuming it's because they have the 1.0L engine, and more of the grille is blocked, tailored to the reduced cooling needs. Either that or more underbody paneling.

fifteenwindow (03-25-2014)
The only way I can reasonably see 50+mpg is traveling on a flat surface at 55-65mph.
On the ups and downs on Houston highways, travelling on speed limit (60-70) I get 43-45 max.
I've done a bunch of trips on the west coast and about to do some more on the east coast a soon as we move back in a couple of months. me and the wife have nothing but good things to say about this car. i guess comfort is subjective but this car is far more comfortable and quite than my old 97 F150 and 04 miata. The only gripes i have are with my choice of color i Will never buy a black car again!!!!! lol. This car handles amazingly on snow and even did amazing on a steep one lane dirt road in Olympic national park WA. also even when pushing it near 75-79 for most of the trip it stayed in the 40's.

update: came to check if anyone had posted any more questions about the car. I am doing a cross country coast to coast trip on the last weekend of April. From the beaches of Montery,CA to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale fl (3,033 miles according to Google). i'll make sure to update everyone on how amazing or miserable the trip is.
My 2 minor concerns
- i will hit my 6,000 mile oil change interval during the trip so i will have to do it as soon as possible when i get home.
- my mirage does not have tinted windows yet and i'm worried the cabin will get more hot than the A/c can fight off while crossing the deserts.
