Anyone know the size of the drain/fill plug gaskets? Changing out my fluid soon as well and I like to replace the crush washers but can't find the size anywhere.

Bumping for more review info. How are you guys who have changed the fluid liking the new fluid? What did you replace it with?

I used Redline MTL. Works very well. Seems slightly smoother and is a little quieter than the stock fluid. Shift speed is about the same, perhaps a little faster on cool mornings. I didn't have any transmission issues on the stock fluid and don't have any now. Changed it out at 30K, stock fluid was medium/dark yellow, smelled ok, but I am glad I changed it.
I would recommend this fluid and will use it again.

For those in a cold environment, does changing the trans fluid seem to make shifting with a cold engine easier? I find it hard to believe Mitsu wouldn't put synthetic in from the factory, but if you guys are seeing improvements from it...

It's slightly improved. My transmission is much better after 50k miles. Very precise and smooth.
My magnetic drain plug has proof of its usefulness
That drain plug was removed from a 1994 era Toyota 4 runner 4x4 front differential

Just did this tonight at 60,258 miles. Thanks for the write-up, especially the part about measuring out the fluid. For those doing this in the future, it is easier than changing your oil.
I used Redline MTL, as others here have, and noticed a bit smoother shifting.

I'm at 36,000mi and ordered some Red Line MTL for a m/t fluid change. The shifter has seemed more notchy, but I attributed that to colder weather.
I mainly wanted to flush the "wear particles" out and try out some good gear oil.
Waiting for the MTL from Amazon, I took her in for the Airbag recall. The service man came to the waiting room and said, "We recommend a Trans Fluid Change." I knew the interval was 60k miles and said no thanks.
I'm in the middle of said fluid change, and NOTHING has come out.
I even jacked the rear-end up still nothing!
I honestly don't suspect the dealer drained and didn't refill. I'm going to put some dye in with the redline and see if there are leaks....
Pissed though wondering if it came from the factory dry. Can't prove it now though.
P.S. $110 for dealer M/T change.
