Looks like only two airbags are blown: driver's knee and steering wheel? On these cars, as far as I am concerned, if a body shop tells an insurance company that a brand new car is totaled...then IT'S TOTALED.

They'd have fixed it if it were feasible. Who knows...the whole body could be tweaked and twisted.

The owner probably bought it back from his insurance company with the intention of flipping it for a profit. Not a terrible idea, actually. I did that with an '85 Toyota 4WD pickup I had and made quite a tidy profit.

Best deal I've seen so far is still the hail damaged one I posted a few weeks back. And it's still available.

Seems like replacing the hood & fixing the roof would cost a lot less money than the hit this owner seems willing to take on the car.

FYI: $6500 CAD currently exchanges to $4881 USD. For a Mirage with just cosmetic damage, that's a great deal.

I've seen dent doctors do some amazing work on hail damaged cars.

This 2014 is for sale in Seattle for $9,999. One-owner with only 331 miles. Looks like an unwanted 'Sweet 16' present! Was traded in to a dealership that specializes in big custom trucks (blech).
