Kiwi got the intake kit and has installed it. The MAF housing works great, no codes thrown.

We're working through some kinks with the rest. Basically the hood prop is hitting the air filter right now and we have to find a way to reorient the filter so it doesn't. Also, there are some pretty nasty engine vibrations at idle and additional bracketry will be needed to solidify things.

Here is a sneak peak though:

Are you going to sell the maf adapter only? I really don't need any of the other stuff.

You might want to look into a rubber isolated mount to prevent metal fatigue from the vibrations.

    Agreed.

Also, would it not be better to have a plastic tube for heat purposes?

Should try to tap into the cool air coming in from the side of the upper grille and isolate it from the hot air coming in through the radiator.

There's a whole other thread about this. It was concluded, IIRC, that the air flowing into the bay is enough for the intake.

Personally, I would like to alter the location of the sensor for a pipe to come from the bottom+middle air inlet and have the filter right there.

However, the recent flooding in Htown has made me think twice about that. I think I'm happy that our spout is way on top of the engine.

Once above idle, the air moves through the intake so fast that it does not have a chance to absorb much heat at all from the pipe.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. First, we're going to make it fit, then we'll work on the mounting and vibration stuff. We're still trying to make it fit right now.
