MiMi: HA. I actually live well south of the 49th myself. (And I get a kick out of the factoid that the southernmost tip of Ontario is further south than the northern edge of California.)

Amazingly: more Sparks were sold in CANADA in April than in the States in May. Shockingly low numbers.
Overall, it was a good month for Mitsu in both countries.
USA:
"Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) reported May 2017 sales of 9,429 an increase of 4.5 percent over May 2016.... The spirited Mirage and Mirage G4 sales were up 11.6 percent" - source
2342 - Mirage & Mirage G4
357 - Chevrolet Spark
Canada:
"The popular Mitsubishi RVR compact crossover helped propel Mitsubishi Motors’ to its best May result in the company’s 15-year history." - source
270 - Mirage & Mirage G4
922 - Nissan Micra
??? - Chevy Spark (not available until tomorrow)

Also worth noting: As of the end of May, Mitsu has now sold more than 75,000 Mirages in the States. US sales have increased every year it's been available, and 2017 is following that trend (so far!).
Almost 12k total in Canada.
87,195 total, U.S. + Canada.

I just want to say that the Outlander Sport/RVR/ASX are awesome. My Mirage was dialed in better for corners over 80+ though...

So the Spark only sold 357 units for the month of May? Maybe they have big rebates on Sonics or the Cruze because that seems really low. Maybe these types of numbers will make other automakers see that there is a market for small cheap cars. Also, I hope that it shows Mitsubishi that the Mirage is worth the investment for a new and improved model. Hopefully not so improved that it gets too big or expensive and tries to compete with vehicles in other classes.

Yeah, shockingly low. http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2012/08...s-figures.html Very odd.
Yeah. It'd be nice to know the global numbers for the car.I hope that it shows Mitsubishi that the Mirage is worth the investment for a new and improved model.

I updated post #1 with the stats.
Factoid: among the smallest cars in the US, year to date, the Mirage is outselling:
11,948 - Mirage
1757 - Smart
6461 - Fiat 500
9197 - Spark
And almost catching...
12,851 - Mini Cooper

Best June since 2001 for Mirage sales in the U.S:
http://media.mitsubishicars.com/rele...une-2017-salesMirage sales were up 12.8 percent with total sales of 1,739
Meanwhile over at GM, only 11 (eleven) Sparks were delivered. And we know why the last 2 months have been so terrible for GM's smallest car:
http://gmauthority.com/blog/2017/06/...ults-may-2017/The significant sales drops are directly attributed to the Chevy Spark recall and subsequent stop-sale issued in May impacting the vehicle’s passenger-side airbag module.
It's a holiday in Canada, so we'll see the June numbers tomorrow when the States are on holiday.
