Lol...I replaced my original wheels/tires before my car had 1,000 miles on it...so I understand completely.

You'll need to decide how much of a mpg hit you are willing to accept. Going from 14 x 4.5" wheels with Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tires to 17 x 7.5" wheels without LRR tires is going to mean a noticeable reduction in fuel economy. You might be looking at a 4-6 mpg hit.
If you're willing to compromise, you can improve the car's stance with new wheels/tires without taking a significant hit to your fuel economy. Here is what I decided to do.
