Its been starting to get cold out here. Today was the 2nd time I have had to scrape my windshield. So, I was wondering what is your guy's routine to get ready for winter weather?

We had our first frost here in Central Ohio this morning.
I'm getting ready to install my grill block and Warm Air Intake. I built a new Warm Air Intake which I will be posting a full write-up on within the next few days. It's more effective than my original WAI.

If you don't know whether you have summer mix windshield washer in your tank - drain it completely and refill with winter mix. I don't know if this is a new thing, but I've noticed they sell blue water with no alcohol in it - windshield washer shirley temple - same price as full strength.

Make sure my heater, heated mirrors and seats, and rear defrost work!
Throw a set of Nokian on my front axle and check strength of antifreeze and washer fluid.

I swap all 4 tires to winters. Probably should make sure all the block heaters work, make sure all the cars have snow brushes and extension cords in them. Otherwise nothing else. We run winter washer fluid all year round. The factory/dealer fill stuff is garbage and freezes.
We already had 3" of snow a week or so ago. Then yesterday was 23C/73F.

I almost forgot...
I'll be taking my car to the dealer for a new heater core soon.
Everyone who lives in a cold climate and still has some warranty left should check their vent output temps!

Anyone swap out to winter windshield wipers? I like to do that, but I usually just run them year round.
