Ya, it's crazy how small it is. The manual Rom is only 512kb. All your Lancers, Evolutions, Eclipses and previous models are the same. The small file size keeps the resolution up.
Quick Factoid: In the Mustang tuning world they swap manual ECUs out for automatic units and then reflash them so they have more space to add features to the manual tune.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could pull it with Mazdaedit. A lost of current gen mazdas are running Mitsubishi ecus (mine included, and ECU tuned) The rest are using Denso. That includes boost tuning for NA engines using the OEM NA mistu ecu. There is is much space for a turbo on this chassis (front/mid/rear), all that's needed is ECU tuning.

I'd try and test out MazdaEdit but it's $225 per Vin# and the professional edition doesn't have a listing price. If it worked that wouldn't be too bad for a one vehicle application but would need someone to give it a try. Just got to be careful because I did brick/lockout my ECU on my first ECU comunication attempt.
