This is my 6,000th post.
It's funny that when I was searching for a replacement car back in 2015 that I would wind up here. I think this forum might be more interesting than the car itself.
Thanks everyone for this forum. Cheers!

Congrats on your 6k milestone.
And thanks for the chuckle:
I think you might be right!I think this forum might be more interesting than the car itself.
I'm still watching for a Darin-priced Mirage. I said to Tim yesterday: I will probably get one next year. I'm not looking forward to another winter with the beater Metro. But I will tough it out one more time.

Nooo!
It's a slippery slope: You get a car you like, then you get another one just like it to use in the winter so you don't ruin the first one. And then...
If I had gone for that $2000 rusty Mirage, I seriously would have had to get rid of one of my other cars.

I'll be taking Speck out this weekend beyond the typical commute. It sometimes reminds me of a slot car track - same route day in & day out.
Love driving this little car. It's a guilt-free pleasure.

have my favorite route too. It follows the Niagara river and for 20 odd miles there's no lights, stop signs or intersections. Nothing but the winding river and nice house to look at. I end up driving alongside and under the Welland Canal. It's a nice little 30-40 mile jaunt

31,930 miles:
Put on the summer Enasaves with the factory 2015 ES aluminum alloy rims (both original to the car) and took off the Winter Maxx snows. Had to patch a hole I picked up late last year when I took them off. Hoping that the plug holds. Looking forward to improved fuel economy. It's always fun to experience how much better the Enasaves roll compared to the snow tires.
Also I've noticed noise when turning right. It sounds like the dust shield rubbing as if it were bent out of position. Upon inspection I found the rotor shield is fine, but a fair amount of rusty scale built up on the outer circumference of the rotor. I beat the scale off with a hammer. Looking forward to a quiet commute tomorrow morning.
Might even change the oil soon.
Other than that, nothing to report. Four years down the road and it's a boringly reliable car, and that's exactly what I want.

Nail or screw puncture?
We seem to get at least one a year in my extended family, and I've been able to fix all but one puncture with a cheap tire patch kit (the sticky black worm / plug kind).

Can't tell - it's small like a nail hole. Just couldn't find the nail.
I used a Harbor Freight plug kit. Cheap! $5 - I'll see how it holds.
Keep them Enasaves rolling along. I'm guessing they are halfway through - ought to measure them.

Yep, same type of kit I use.
Strange that the nail/screw wasn't still in the tire. The culprit has always been embedded in my flats.
